One of the biggest obstacles faced by all organisations today as they consider adopting Cloud computing, whether large or small, is Security. And just like traditional computing, there will never be a silver bullet to address all aspects.

At this workshop Dell will present how they are addressing these concerns with their customers and attendees will gain a better understanding of what to consider in selecting a Cloud provider.

Topics covered will include:

* Why all organizations need to do more with their security

* Public or private clouds - which is more secure

* How the Security market will address the Cloud

The workshop will be presented by Dave Burke. Dave is the Subject Matter Expert for Dell Secureworks in the UK and Ireland. ABSTRACT:
“In this lecture we discuss George Boole the man, his life in Lincoln and Cork, as an  active citizen concerned about the welfare of his fellow human beings. We also discuss his work as a Professor at Queen’s College (now University College) Cork, his books, papers and writings, which led to his being, described as both the father of computer science and the founder of pure mathematics.”


ADMISSION IS FREE & EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND

This lecture will be aimed at interested members of the general public and will be non-technical in nature. It will be of particular interest to teachers and their pupils and those interested in the history of Mathematics, Logic, Computer Science, Electronics, Probability and Education.
